Both Bunbeg and Derrybeg are so close they could be mistaken for one. Bunbeg is a Townland within the parish of Gweedore with an attractive harbour. Both Bunbeg and Derrybeg offer the visitor an ideal base from which to explore both the islands of Tory, Gola, Inis Meáin or Inisbofin or play a relaxed game of golf on the scenic course at Gaoth Dobhair. There are various fine restaurants, and in the evenings, there is traditional music to be found in the local pubs, many of which play host to traditional music sessions throughout the summer.
